Gode 1 & 2 consist of a total of 97 Siemens SWT-6.0-154 turbines generating up to 582 MW. The projects were officially commissioned in June 2017.

When operational, the 900MW BorWin3 HVDC platform will convert the alternating current produced by offshore wind turbines to direct current before transmitting it onshore to the German national grid via a 160-kilometre cable link.
